    An emotional transition is expected after giving birth due to the changes in your body and your life. However, the “baby blues” typically lessen after about two weeks whereas postpartum depression can effect moms anywhere within the first year of their child’s life. 


  • I Just Had A Baby, But I Don’t Feel Depressed, I Feel Anxious and Angry. Will Postpartum Therapy Still Help?

    Yes! Many women don’t experience depression in a typical sense postpartum. Many women feel angry, irritable, low motivation, numb, disconnected, anxious, and/or obsessive as a result of postpartum mental health. If you are feeling “off” in any way after the birth of your baby postpartum therapy can help.

    Yes! It can absolutely be appropriate to bring your partner or support person to your appointments on occasion. This will allow them an opportunity to learn how to best support you throughout this process.
